Sorry I've been away! I just returned from my summer-can't-possibly-be-over vacation to Fall in full swing, which definitely calls for the next round of our Fall 2010 updates: Dark Shadows.
Inspired by the love of all things dark and fantastical (vampires, we mean you!) this trend incorporates intricate knits, subtle sheers and hints of gothic romance. Add a few pieces of this dark and beatiful look to your current wardrobe for a wonderfully mysterious and ethereal update!
Key ingredients to the Dark Shadows Look:
• Shades of black and grey popped with deep berrys, greying pinks, and slate blues

This season is ripe with billions of hosiery options, which we at Pink Cookie love, not only because we have fantastic hosiery of our own, but because it's a great way to update an outfit for a reasonable price! One has to be careful though, especially with the hosiery layering trend and the return of brightly hued legwear, that your outfit does not get overwhelmed! A few quick and easy tips:
• When wearing a bright solid tight - pair it with a simple outfit in either a neutral tone or another solid complementary color to make the most impact.
• When layering your legwear - make sure to layer solids, or a simple patterned sock over a neutral solid. Any more than this and you tip dangerously into looking like a clown territory.
• Open-toed shoes with tights? Totally a do again! Especially when paired with this season's fantastic open-toed high heeled booties!
